Here are the answers to the
most common questions I receive:
can I get a Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band Concert
You can't, not yet. None have ever been commercially produced. The December 06 Detroit shows were recorded, but the lighting and sound was not up to par. They then recorded the Cobo shows on 3/15 and 17 in 2007, and they have never been released. I have not heard of any plans to do so either.
Where can I get Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
T-shirts and merchandise?
I heard a rumor that Bob has throat cancer, is this true?
No! Bob is fine! This rumor surfaces everytime something is released. My take on the origin of this dates back to
1979 when I was a junior in high school. My friend Henry was a devoute Tull fan and I a devoute BS&SBB fan. He told people that to get me riled up.
I reminded him of this last week as his prank has continuously haunted me for 24 years. I can't tell you how many emails I get asking this question.
Henry now denies starting it.
What song is Bob referring to in the Night Moves lyric "started humming a song from 1962" ?
Bob is quoted as saying "Be My Baby by the Ronettes".
In the song
"Roll Me Away", where is Bob referring to in the line "12 hours out of
Mackinaw city stopped in a bar to have a brew"?
As recounted in many interviews, the town 12 hours out of Mackinaw City is Rochester, Minnesota. The motorcycle he was riding was a Honda 1100.
Where is the actual "Main Street" the song was titled
It is actually "Ann Street" in Ann Arbor MI.
Where can I find the album (Ramblin Gamblin Man, Mongrel, Noah, Brand New Morning, Seven, Back in 72 )?
These albums have been out of print for many years and are not available. A few were re-released by Capitol in the late 70's, early 80's.
The best place to look for these is Ebay, where people put old LP's up for bid.
Where can I get a copy of the song ___?
Check the Albums Section of this site to see if it is on one of the albums currently available. If so, I have provided links to Amazon.com where you can buy the album.
If it is on one of the out of print LP's mentioned above, EBay is a good place. (Do a search on Bob Seger).
If it is not on an album, it could be a single only.
Again, Ebay is a good place.
How can I get in touch with Bob
or his manager to book the band for an event?
Where can I write to Bob or a band member? (no email addresses are available)
Band Member Name
c/o Punch Enterprises
567 Purdy St.
Birmingham, MI 48009
Can you tell Bob ______________ ?
Sorry, I do not know Bob. I was introduced to him once, in March 2004. He shook my hand and said "Hi Kevin". That's it.
I bet he said more to the limo driver taking him to the airport that night than me. I suggest you write him a letter at the address provided on the top page of this site!
